We stayed in the charming cabin 2. It had a great view of the lake from the kitchen table and couch. Everything you need is in the cabin. Pots, pans, silverware, dishes, blankets, pillows, everything. There was also a small TV with cable. These cabins were built in the 40's/50's and still have that old era charm with modern updates including indoor plumbing and heat. The other guests were quiet, kind and respectful. I spent 4 nights there and there was no loud or roudy noise. The swimming area is great for kids because the lake stays shallow for quite a distance. Carrie was wonderful to do business with. I saw first hand that she was only a text away when her guests had an issue. I loved that this cabin was more of an airb&b style exchange rather than hotel front desk exchange. These cabins are centrally located to all of the tourist attractions we wanted to see (and more.) I would highly recommend to anyone who loves the beautiful u.p. I will definitely be back! I bet it is gorgeous in the winter.

Cabin was clean. Kari and her husband are great host. Explained what we could do. There is even a boat for use. My fifteen year old learned how to drive the boat. Beautiful place. Have already booked for next year.

Extremely clean, quiet, and cozy. Does not take long to get to most of the towns . You should always know that when coming to the UP, most places will take at least 45 minutes to get to. This is our 2nd yr here and will be coming every yr for our getaway. HIGHLY recommended !!!!

I absolutely love Trout Lake Resort! It's a great place to stay and have fun! The owners rock! They're very friendly, and will do everything possible to ensure you enjoy your stay. The location is absolutely gorgeous, and they offer amenities such as; bonfires, use of boats and launches, grills to cook out, etc. If I were vacationing to Trout Lake, MI, this is where I would choose to stay, hands down!

I had a great stay here! The cabin was cozy and had everything that I needed. And it was nice being right next to the lake. Also, the owners were wonderful! They were very welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure that I had a pleasant stay. I definitely recommend the Trout Lake Resort to anyone coming through the area!

We loved out stay! The cabin was clean, comfy beds, and living room. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils to cook with. The swimming area was clean and great for young kids and big kids. The lake is very clear. We used the bonfire pit each night. The cabins are located on a quite road. Taking walks and bike rides would be very easy. There is no wi-fi and a poor phone connection which was no bother to us. An hour to 2 hour drive to see state parks and other areas to explore. The other guests were great as well. The owners do a great job with cleaning the property and making you feel right at home.

What a little gem. Great little cabin. All the amenities and sadly internet . (I left my work laptop at home. Lol) It has everything you need and a 1000 times better than a tent and sleeping on the floor. Running hot and cold water. A toilet. A full efficiency. PLUS Your own personal fishing boat with a motor and gas!!! BBQ grills. Charcoal. Life jackets. Outdoor chairs. Outdoor tables. Your own picnic tables. The hosts are amazing. Sweet, laid back and casual. Only interested in making sure you have everything you need. And as for Trout Lake, beautiful all sports lake. No boat traffic. Stocked with Blue Gill, Walleye, yellow perch, large mouth bass and sunfish. It really is such a find inland, only 30 minutes from the Bridge. Would I come here again … without a question, YES! You should too! Cabin #2 (August 5 - August 9)!!

Rooms were good, cabin 3 seemed to have a water leak of some kind which left the bathroom floor damp. Comfortable beds and a Greta view for cabins 1 or 2! The boats they let you use are motorized which is nice. Each cabin has small appliances like a fridge oven/stove.
